Immediate Goals   
  • Establish professional employment within the corporate industry as an Information Specialist, utilizing my skills and strengths in information management, metadata, research, competitive intelligence, and knowledge management.

  • Participate in Metrolina Library Association to network and develop local professional relationships

  • Attain professional affiliation through American Library Association and North Carolina Library Association membership.

  • Apply for NC Public Library certification.

  • Volunteer at local library or museum in cataloging to continue information organization skills.

  • Begin studying at least one programming or database language to enhance digital library and information organization skills.

 
Intermediate Goals
  • Become recognized as a successful team player in my position.

  • Seek out and maintain professional development through a mentor within the company.

  • Create strong professional relationships with management and co-workers.

  • Seek out and attend industry supported workshops, seminars, and conferences.

  • Aggressively invest in retirement fund/401K and pay off student loan debt.

  • Increase & develop technology and professional skills.

  • Continued education of emerging trends in the technology field of information management through journal subscriptions, webinars and conferences.
